“We edited the book as a 24 hour glimpse into the culture,” says Johan Kugelberg. “We take you from the projects to the studio to the strip club and back, all along with an on-going oral history narrative from the people of the culture.” “We see it as an immersion,” says Peter Beste. “The idea was always to provide an insight into the community of the arguably most powerful hip-hop scene in the world today.”

Dissection
Storm of the Light's Bane
(Nuclear Blast, 1995)
Led by guitarist-vocalist Jon Nödtveidt, Gothenburg's Dissection blurred the line between black metal and the melodic death metal their Swedish city made famous. The band's second album was their last (and finest) riff blizzard before Nödtveidt was imprisoned for murder.

Taking the band name from an ancient Babylonian God, Marduk is a black metal band from Sweden formed in 1990. The band's musical themes include religious and philosophical Satanism, anti-Christianity, and a dark look into the past, including brutal memories of World War II and atrocities committed by The Third Reich. One of the band's infamous early demo covers depicts a nun using a crucifix to Masturbate, and the words "F**K Me Jesus." A few choice song titles include "Jesus Christ Sodomized," "Death Sex Ejaculation," "Burn My Coffin," "Blessed Unholy," and 'With Satan and "Victorious Weapons." Due to the prominent theme of World War II, many have accused the band of being racist, anti-Semitic and even National Socialist, but the band members have insisted Marduk has no political agenda, but uses the history of Fascist Germany for artistic purposes and music only.

In May 2007, he appeared on the third Trelldom album, Til Minne . Gaahl was the band's only founding member to appear on the album, which featured guitarist Valgard, bassist Stian, drummer Are and hardingfele player Egil Furenes.

"I need to namedrop current Mork drummer's solo-project, as well. Malignant proves he is capable of more than just hitting the skins in Ragnarok and Mork. Dauden is quite original and I can tell you that the new album will kick ass. We are currently mixing it in Mork's Rottehullet Studio."
